Quantity Surveyor (QS)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) to manage project costs from the initial design stage through project completion. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within budget, comply with legal and quality standards, and provide value for money to clients. The role includes contract administration, cost control, quantity take-offs, variation management, subcontractor evaluation, and preparation of project commercial documentation.

  • Cost Management & Commercial Administration: Manage project costs from early design stages through completion, monitor budgets and cash flow, evaluate time and cost impacts of variations and claims, ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements, and support commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interim Payment Applications & Invoicing: Prepare and submit interim payment applications to clients, evaluate and certify subcontractor invoices and payment certificates, and maintain comprehensive records of payment documentation.
  • Variations & Claims Management: Compile variation orders with impact analysis, prepare supporting documents for client and subcontractor negotiations, assist in claims preparation and extension of time requests, and maintain records for claims defense.
  • Quantity Take-Off & Measurement: Perform quantity take-offs for Civil and MEP works based on drawings and specifications, review BOQs and contract documents, and verify measurements in compliance with project requirements.
  • Contract Administration: Maintain contractual documentation including variation orders, payment applications, certificates, and correspondence. Assist in post-contract activities and support preparation of reports and commercial documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within construction, EPC, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, claims, cost control, and commercial management
  • Experience in Civil and MEP quantity surveying
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Primavera P6
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong negotiation and coordination skills
