Tower Crane Operator
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Tower Crane Operator with strong knowledge of lifting operations to operate tower cranes efficiently on construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety procedures, lifting plans, and site regulations.
- Operate tower crane safely and efficiently during construction activities.
- Lift, move, and position construction materials as directed.
- Follow approved lifting plans and load charts.
- Coordinate with riggers, signalmen, lifting supervisors, and site engineers.
- Inspect crane equipment and controls before operation.
- Monitor load weight, balance, and lifting capacity limits.
- Ensure safe lifting practices at all times.
- Maintain communication with ground personnel during lifting operations.
- Perform routine operational checks and report defects or malfunctions.
- Maintain daily crane operation and inspection records.
- Ensure proper securing of crane during non-operational periods and adverse weather conditions.
- Follow all company safety policies and construction site regulations.
Lifting Knowledge Requirements
- Good understanding of lifting operations and crane hand signals.
- Knowledge of load charts, lifting capacities, and rigging safety.
- Ability to identify unsafe lifting conditions and stop operations when necessary.
- Familiarity with lifting accessories such as slings, shackles, hooks, and spreader beams.
- Understanding of lifting plans and risk assessments.
Requirements
- Valid Tower Crane Operator license/certification
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating tower cranes in construction projects
- Experience in high-rise or large-scale construction projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of lifting and rigging operations
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and safety-conscious
- Knowledge of lifting operations and crane hand signals
- Knowledge of load charts, lifting capacities, and rigging safety
- Ability to identify unsafe lifting conditions and stop operations when necessary
- Familiarity with lifting accessories such as slings, shackles, hooks, and spreader beams
- Understanding of lifting plans and risk assessments
- Knowledge of preventive crane maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with site safety standards and lifting regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project schedules
