Reservoir Engineer
We are seeking a reservoir Engineer who can support efficient and safe well operations and contribute to maximizing production performance. It ensures that reservoir considerations are properly integrated into well interventions and production activities, helping to optimize well productivity and maintain field performance.
- No direct reports; coordinates the work of approximately 2 people.
- Supports well operations with direct impact on production and reservoir performance.
- Contributes to well preparation (WSOR), production optimisation, and operational follow-up.
- Monitors well performance and supports workovers, ESP, PLT, and well intervention programmes.
- Assists with production start-up, surveillance, data analysis, and reservoir performance evaluation.
- Works closely with Drilling & Wells, Field Operations, Reservoir, Geoscience, and Well Engineering teams.
- Supports 10–15 rigless operations and 10–15 new wells annually.
- Contributes to production of 120–220 kbopd across approximately 200 wells.
- Operates in a complex, high-risk oil & gas environment in Iraq (Ratawi).
- Ensures compliance with HSE, environmental, energy efficiency, and Company Code of Conduct requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree (Level 7) in Engineering or equivalent.
- 5–10 years' experience in reservoir engineering, preferably in operational oil & gas affiliates.
- Strong knowledge of well performance, production monitoring, well interventions, ESP systems, PLT, and well testing.
- Understanding of drilling, completions, reservoir surveillance, and reservoir engineering principles.
- Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and adaptability in operational environments.
- Fluent in English.
- No specific certification required.
