Lifting Appointed Person

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lifting Appointed Person to manage and control all lifting operations on project sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and approving lifting activities to ensure they are executed safely and in full compliance with project and HSE requirements.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of lifting operations, risk assessment, lifting plan preparation, and supervision of critical lifts. Experience in tank-related projects will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve lifting plans and method statements.
• Conduct risk assessments for routine and critical lifting operations.
• Ensure compliance with lifting regulations, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with lifting supervisors, crane operators, and rigging teams.
• Verify certification and inspection status of lifting equipment and cranes.
• Oversee execution of complex and heavy lifting activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks and lifting briefings.
• Investigate lifting-related incidents and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations within construction or industrial projects.
• Valid LEEA certification (Mandatory).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred / Required as per project need).
• Strong knowledge of lifting standards and safety regulations.
• Experience in heavy lifting and critical lift management.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills.

Preferred

• Experience in tank construction projects (advantage).
• GCC project experience (advantage).
• ADNOC or similar major client experience (advantage).
