Security Coordinator
We are seeking a Security Coordinator r is responsible for coordinating all the security activities related to the construction, acquire and maintain corporate mandatory trainings as well as additional trainings, and participate to the Implementation of Site Security Plan and related security procedures
- Coordinated security activities with Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), contractors, communities, and private security providers.
- Supported the Security Lead in protecting personnel, assets, and project operations.
- Monitored security threats, ISF deployments, and recommended risk mitigation measures.
- Implemented site security plans, access control, and security procedures.
- Monitored contractor compliance with security requirements and VPSHR standards.
- Investigated security incidents and prepared daily, weekly, and incident reports.
- Participated in threat assessments, crisis management, and emergency response exercises.
- Liaised with Community Liaison Officers to assess local developments and security impacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Defence, Security, Foreign Affairs, or a related field.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in security coordination or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) and private security operations; prior ISF experience is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Construction project experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work effectively under pressure in high-risk environments.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, contractors, and security stakeholders.
