Project Quality Manager
We are seeking a Project Quality Manager to develop and implement the project’s Quality Plan and procedures, ensure compliance with requirements, review method statements and ITPs, monitor performance, and address on-site issues to maintain quality and prevent delays.
- Prepare the Quality Plan, project quality procedures, and audit programs based on contractual, legal, and internal requirements to ensure conformity of site activities.
- Review method statements, Inspection & Testing Plans (ITPs), PM approvals, procedures, instructions, and reports to ensure alignment with the overall quality system and applicable requirements.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work within the area of responsibility to ensure effective use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
- Develop internal and external communication channels to support proper implementation of the quality system.
- Set objectives and action plans, and monitor operational performance to ensure achievement of preset quality targets.
- Intervene during emergencies or major on-site issues to prevent recurrence and minimize delays.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits to verify compliance with procedures and guidelines, providing recommendations to correct discrepancies.
- Review, validate, and analyze reports, prepare ad-hoc documentation, and provide professional guidance and support in the area of specialty.
- Assist procurement and project staff by providing technical guidance on complex matters beyond lower-level capabilities.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Head of Quality on staffing issues, providing recommendations to meet project quality needs.
- Liaise with clients and legal authorities to stay up to date with requirements and ensure compliance at all levels.
- Attend meetings, evaluate on-site quality procedures, and propose recommendations for continual improvement.
- Review, validate, and finalize project documentation for client approval, ensure proper implementation, and manage document traceability.
- Provide guidance and support to subordinates and project line managers, define discussion topics for internal meetings, and conduct training/awareness sessions on complex subjects.
- Coach subordinates on managerial issues, planning, and cost control to enhance their responsibilities.
- Manage and motivate the team, appraise work performance, and recommend appropriate training to improve skills and engagement.
Requirements
- Engineering degree with a professional certification in quality management.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards.
- Effective communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Good planning, organization, and auditing capabilities.
- Strong team-building and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken; French required for Algeria branch.
