QC Manager – Electromechanical
We are seeking a QC Manager – Electromechanical who will be responsible for establishing and leading the Quality Management System for all electromechanical works, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and international codes. Initially project-based (site assignment), the role is intended to evolve into a corporate-level position overseeing EM/RSP quality across the full EPC lifecycle—from tendering and FEED through construction, commissioning, and handover.
1. Quality Planning & Systems
- Develop Project Quality Plan (PQP)
- Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Ensure alignment with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
2. Material & Document Control
- Review and approve MIRs, technical submittals, and method statements
- Ensure compliance before material arrival on site
3. Site Quality Control
- Conduct inspections, surveillance, and walkthroughs
- Monitor installation quality across electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and RSP systems
- Verify compliance with IFC drawings and specifications
4. Testing & Commissioning
- Witness FAT/SAT and commissioning activities
- Approve testing of electrical, HVAC, and RSP systems
- Ensure proper system balancing and performance verification
5. Non-Conformance Management
- Issue and manage NCRs
- Lead root cause analysis
- Track corrective and preventive actions to closure
6. Audits & Compliance
- Lead internal QC audits
- Support client, consultant, and third-party audits
- Ensure readiness for ISO and project-specific audits
7. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead QC engineers and inspectors
- Define KPIs and performance targets
- Provide technical mentoring and development
8. Handover & Closeout
- Ensure completion of O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation
- Support final project handover and closeout requirements
9. Vendor & Material Inspection
- Oversee inspection of incoming materials and equipment
- Coordinate FATs for major electromechanical/RSP packages
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 10–15 years QA/QC experience in electromechanical construction
- Minimum 5 years in senior/lead QC role
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (preferred)
- AWS / CSWIP / NACE certifications (advantage)
