Accounting, JV & Tax Manager Iraqi Leadership

• Lead JV accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with contractual frameworks, including DPC and JV agreements.
• Oversee monthly JV reporting, cash calls, and cost recovery mechanisms.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable tax regulations, including corporate tax and withholding tax.
• Manage tax declarations, reporting requirements, and interactions with tax authorities.
• Supervise asset accounting and financial consolidation processes.
• Implement and enforce internal controls, including SOX requirements, and accounting procedures.
• Coordinate and manage financial audits, including effective engagement with JV partners and auditors.
• Provide guidance on tax implications related to contracts, transactions, and business decisions.
• Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing Accounting and Tax team.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of financial systems and processes, including SAP and other financial tools. 

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 12–15 years of professional experience, including significant JV accounting experience.
• Strong expertise in JV accounting, taxation, and IFRS standards.
• Experience managing complex contractual and financial environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and financial management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong leadership, team development, and people management skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Experience working in international and multi-partner environments.
• Knowledge and experience in the oil & gas or large infrastructure sectors strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory).
• French language proficiency is an advantage.
