Safety Coordinator - SIMOPS
We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator – SIMOPS to oversee safety coordination during simultaneous operations on project sites. The role focuses on ensuring that multiple work activities are executed safely without conflict, while maintaining compliance with project HSE procedures and client safety standards. The successful candidate will coordinate between different work teams, monitor high-risk activities, and ensure proper planning, communication, and control measures are in place
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) activities across project areas.
- Ensure safe execution of multiple work activities occurring at the same time.
- Review work permits, risk assessments, and method statements related to SIMOPS operations.
- Identify potential conflicts between concurrent work activities and implement control measures.
- Conduct site safety inspections and monitor high-risk operations.
- Coordinate closely with operations, construction, logistics, and HSE teams.
- Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and SIMOPS coordination meetings.
- Maintain records and reports related to SIMOPS activities and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Safety, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HSE within Oil & Gas, EPC, or construction projects.
- Strong experience managing SIMOPS environments.
- ADNOC project experience is required.
- NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification (Mandatory).
- Good knowledge of permit-to-work systems and risk assessment procedures.
- Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
