The Scaffolding Inspector / QAQC Inspector is responsible for inspecting scaffolding structures to ensure they meet safety standards, design specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting thorough visual and dimensional inspections, identifying non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
In addition to inspections, the inspector reviews documentation, collaborates with construction and safety teams, and supports quality assurance processes to uphold project quality and compliance. Strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of scaffolding systems, and effective communication skills are essential for this role.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in scaffolding inspection preferred
Minimum 3–5 years of scaffolding inspection experience in construction or oil & gas projects
In-depth knowledge of scaffolding standards (OSHA, ANSI, BS EN 12811) and safety regulations
Ability to read and interpret scaffolding drawings and load calculations
Competency in identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions
Strong communication and reporting skills
Physical fitness to perform site inspections, including work at heights
Relevant scaffolding inspection certification (e.g., CISRS, CITB, or equivalent) preferred
