The nurse provides critical medical support in remote and high-risk oilfield environments, ensuring workforce health and emergency preparedness. The professional delivers primary care, emergency response, and occupational health services while adhering to strict safety protocols in hazardous locations. The role involves conducting pre-deployment medical screenings, managing on-site clinics, and responding to trauma cases or environmental health emergencies—from heat stress to chemical exposures. Whether stabilizing patients for medevac or implementing pandemic control measures, the nurse's clinical judgment directly impacts worker safety in isolated drilling camps, offshore platforms, and refinery settings. The nurse serves as the health liaison between corporate HSE departments and field operations, developing preventative programs tailored to extreme working conditions. The position requires specialized training in industrial medicine, including toxicology, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and mass casualty incident management. The professional maintains emergency equipment, oversees medical supply logistics, and trains first-aid teams while complying with international standards (OGUK, OSHA). The nurse's dual expertise in clinical care and occupational risk mitigation makes them indispensable for maintaining workforce productivity in an industry where timely medical intervention can mean the difference between life and death.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in remote or industrial settings
  • Valid nursing license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and trauma care
  • Training in occupational health, toxicology, and mass casualty management
  • Experience with OGUK medical standards and OSHA compliance requirements
  • Ability to operate independently in isolated locations with limited resources
  • Strong emergency response, triage, and patient stabilization skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining medical records, equipment, and supply inventories
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising between field crews and corporate HSE teams
