The Junior Planner assists in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource allocation. They collect progress data from project teams, track performance against milestones, and flag potential delays or risks for corrective action. The role involves preparing scheduling reports, maintaining accurate project timelines, and supporting senior planners in ensuring schedule integrity across all project phases. Beyond core scheduling duties, the Junior Planner facilitates communication between departments, helps streamline workflows, and contributes to continuous improvement in planning processes. They play a key role in maintaining coordination across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project objectives are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • 1-3 years of experience in project planning or scheduling, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or engineering sectors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Familiarity with project management principles and reporting practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling is an advantage
