Leads field teams in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of process control systems in oil and gas facilities. Oversees hazardous area instrumentation, ensures accurate functioning of transmitters, control valves, and safety instrumented systems (SIS), and enforces safety and compliance with international standards.
Diploma or degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
3-5 years of supervisory experience in instrumentation within oil and gas projects in the UAE or GCC.
Strong knowledge of hazardous area standards, calibration procedures, and control system integration.
Familiarity with API RP 554, IECEx, and ISA instrumentation codes.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and cause-and-effect diagrams.
Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and safety management skills.
Willingness to work in remote, offshore, or high-risk environments.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of instrumentation in hazardous areas (ISA-12, IECEx).
- Conduct loop checks, troubleshoot 4-20mA, HART, and Foundation Fieldbus systems.
- Verify contractor work against P&IDs, loop diagrams, and project specifications.
- Oversee calibration and testing of control instruments per ISO standards.
- Manage PLC/DCS interface integrations and SIL verification procedures.
- Coordinate with process engineers to optimize control strategies.
- Implement MOC (Management of Change) for instrumentation modifications.
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and ensure equipment reliability.
