The Foreman – Mechanical leads and manages mechanical teams responsible for the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical processes, including HVAC, pumps, compressors, piping, and rotating equipment. The foreman plans daily work activities, assigns tasks to crew members, monitors progress, and ensures compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. They are responsible for maintaining productivity, coordinating material and equipment availability, and enforcing workplace safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe work environment. In addition to supervising onsite mechanical operations, the foreman acts as a vital communication bridge between field workers, engineers, and project management. They review technical drawings and procedures, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and support quality control inspections to ensure all work adheres to project requirements. The foreman also oversees proper use and maintenance of tools and machinery, manages documentation, and participates in progress meetings to update stakeholders on work status. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent organizational skills are essential to successfully delivering mechanical scopes on time and within budget.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years experience in mechanical systems installation, maintenance, and commissioning, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, pumps, compressors, piping systems, and rotating equipment
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
