Supervises field teams in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in oil and gas facilities, including drilling rigs, production plants, and refineries. Ensures hazardous area installations comply with NEC/API 500, IECEx, and ATEX standards, and oversees activities such as cable tray installation, motor terminations, and substation commissioning.
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2-3 years of supervisory experience in electrical works within oil and gas projects in the UAE or GCC.
Strong knowledge of hazardous area classifications and explosion-proof equipment standards.
Proficiency in electrical testing procedures and troubleshooting methods.
Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, protection coordination studies, and technical drawings.
Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Willingness to work in offshore or remote site environments.
- Lead and monitor electrical installation and maintenance works in hazardous and high-risk environments.
- Oversee high- and low-voltage equipment, switchgear, and E-house installations.
- Enforce LOTO, arc flash, and other electrical safety protocols.
- Verify contractor work against single-line diagrams, loop drawings, and project specifications.
- Conduct electrical testing including megger, relay calibration, and protection system checks.
- Support SCADA system integration and commissioning activities.
- Prepare daily work plans, track manpower productivity, and conduct safety toolbox talks.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedules, quality, and safety compliance are met.
