We are hiring a detail-oriented Structural Draftsman to prepare technical drawings and reinforcement detailing for structural components of buildings and infrastructure projects. The role involves developing layout plans, sections, and detailed reinforcement drawings based on engineering input and ensuring compliance with project specifications and codes.
Diploma or ITI in Civil/Structural Drafting or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in structural drafting for buildings or infrastructure projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit Structure or other BIM tools is a plus.
Good understanding of reinforcement detailing and structural systems.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with regional authority standards is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and drawing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare structural drawings including foundation plans, column layouts, beam details, and reinforcement schedules.
- Interpret structural design calculations and convert them into detailed construction drawings.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines to ensure drawing accuracy and integration.
- Revise drawings based on redlines, site feedback, and design modifications.
- Ensure adherence to project standards, codes (BS, ACI, etc.), and authority regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of bar bending schedules (BBS) and as-built drawings.
- Maintain proper version control and documentation of all structural drawings.
