The Bakery Chef is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts. They oversee the baking process from mixing ingredients to final presentation, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes. The role also involves maintaining high standards of hygiene, managing bakery inventory, and training junior staff. The Bakery Chef plays a critical role in product innovation and meeting customer preferences. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and desserts according to recipes
  • Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
  • Train and supervise bakery assistants and junior chefs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Develop new bakery products and seasonal specials
  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Baking
  • 3–5 years of bakery or pastry kitchen experience
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
  • Leadership and time management skills
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards
