The Assistant Storekeeper is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and inventory operations. This includes receiving deliveries, organizing stock, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that goods are properly stored and issued. The role plays an essential part in the supply chain by helping prevent stock discrepancies and contributing to the efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
1–2 years of experience in warehouse or storekeeping roles
Basic computer and inventory management software skills
Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Receive incoming goods and verify against purchase orders
- Store items in designated locations and update inventory records
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies
- Prepare outgoing items for dispatch and ensure proper documentation
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety of the storage area
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to meet stock needs
