The Assistant House Manager supports the overall operations of a private residence, hospitality establishment, or estate. Working closely with the House Manager, the role oversees household staff, coordinates maintenance and services, ensures cleanliness and upkeep, and manages guest or resident needs with the highest level of discretion and professionalism. The position is hands-on and often requires flexible hours, problem-solving, and a customer-first approach. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily activities of housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance staff
  • Ensure all areas of the property are clean, organized, and well-maintained
  • Coordinate vendors and service providers for repairs, deliveries, and maintenance
  • Welcome and attend to the needs of guests or residents
  • Assist in managing household budgets and supply inventories
  • Maintain records for schedules, expenses, and household activities
  • Prior experience in private household management or luxury hospitality
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard of cleanliness and service
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends or evenings as needed
